|A Better Childhood "ABC" School Pantry
The School Based Pantry Program is administered by the Food Bank and is available to all school districts in the sixteen counties the Food Bank serves.
The ABC School Pantry works in two facets: A mobile delivery will occur once a month to provide an avenue for better, healthier food options and an emergency based pantry is located on the grounds of a school intended to provide a more readily accessible source of food.
Research tells us that children experience even occasional hunger, they may have trouble concentrating, aggressive tendencies, stunted growth, and increased likelihood of obesity. The ABC School Pantry Program is to help alleviate child hunger through the provision of food to children and their families at school.
You can help us feed hungry children! Please help us by giving as generously as you can. You’ll be a partner in the fight against hunger right here in Southeast Missouri, helping children focus on learning and grow into stronger, healthier, more productive citizens.
