Senior Food Boxes

Through the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP), Southeast Missouri Food Bank provides monthly boxes of food to about 5,500 seniors in our service area. The boxes help vulnerable seniors from having to choose between food and other basic needs, such as medicine. The food box contains about 35-40 pounds of food staples, such as canned vegetables and fruits, peanut butter, beans, canned meat, cereal, milk, cheese, rice and pasta.

Participants must be at least 60 years old and have an income that is at or below 130 percent of the Federal Poverty Level. To view income guidelines, click here.

Seniors interested in participating in the program should complete a CSFP application at the participating pantry in the county where they live. Use our Pantry Locator page to find the pantry nearest you.
